These two amazing people are off to graduate school in a couple of months. Sara will be heading to Law School and Sabah will be heading to an MBA program. We spent the afternoon walking around downtown Durham and Duke. I took photos of them just being themselves and showing how much they care about each other. They are really cute together.
On Saturday I had the privilege of photographing some very beautiful cupcakes. It was torture. I gave up sugar for Lent so I could look but not devour. The Night Kitchen is now open for business. Heather, one of the amazing bakers of these concoctions, gave me a couple to bring home to Rich. He said they were amazing. He REALLY liked the chocolate with peanut butter frosting. I spent Sunday driving around Durham taking photographs. It is a really good idea to do this every once in a while just for the fun of it. It reminds me why I love photography so much. A lot of photographers actually organize photo walks. A photo walk is just like it sounds; a group of photographers walking around taking photos. I found my new favorite place in Durham on Sunday..... but it is a little creepy to get there. This is the entrance:
Finally a foggy morning and a wide enough angle lens. I have been trying to take this shot for over a year now. I tried with my 50mm but it just wasn't wide enough. It cut off the top of the Suntrust buiding or the bottom of the bull. Once I had the right lens we went months without getting a foggy morning. Then when we did get a foggy morning I had to rush off to work. The stars just aligned for me. Yay! Yesterday my boss asked me to come in a little late, which gave me preanty of time to run downtown to take it. So.... What do you think?
I also took this one which I am somewhat undecided on. I have tried many view points on this tower and still have not gotten the perfect one. I guess I want more in the background and there just isn't anything there. Maybe I need to wait for a nice sunset... Well, in this one I tried satisfying my need for more by putting something in front of the tower.
Who has amazing friends that kick some serious butt.... That's right, ME! I am very proud of all of my amazing Crossfit friends. Here are a few that are headed to Florida for regionals.
